Welcome.
The Alaska Commercial Fishermen's Memorial is dedicated to the men and women who have given their lives to the Alaska commercial fishing industry- those whose time was long, and those whose lives were all too short.
It demonstrates support for the commercial fishing industry by individuals, families, and businesses; it salutes the economic and social importance of fishing within the State of Alaska; it provides a quiet place for reflection and remembrance of those who have died, and serves as the location of the annual Blessing of the Fleet and Reading of the Names on the first Saturday morning in May, to which all are invited.
2020 Video Ceremony
In accordance with State heath mandates, the 2020 Blessing of the Fleet and Reading of Names is here presented as a pre-recorded video tribute. There will be no physical ceremony of any kind on the first Saturday in May. Please honor those on the Wall by practicing safe social distancing. Thank you.

If you have any feedback, particularly on pronunciation, please contact us.
The 2020 ceremony program is available for download here.
